The City of Sumter provides various types of assistance to the Citizens qualified for grants and loan opportunities.

HOUSING REHABILITATION
A grant or loan program that assists qualified owner-occupied citizens in the repair and restoration of their house. Register for the waiting list by sending an email to: cgaines@sumter-sc.com

EMERGENCY HOUSING REHABILITATION
A grant or loan program that assists qualified citizens in making repairs to their house for health and safety reasons.

SEWER AND WATER
A grant program that provides financial assistance for a sewer tap and/or replacement of sewer lines and plumber's cost up to $600 to qualified applicants.

FAIR HOUSING
To inform citizens about Fair Housing issues, citizen's rights and opportunities for affordable housing and housing rehabilitation.
