City Council Meetings

City Council meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Each Council meeting begins at 5:30 pm and is located in the Council Chambers on the 4th floor of the Sumter Opera House. The Opera House is at 21 North Main Street in Downtown Sumter. The only entrance open for Council Meetings is in the rear of the Opera House also known as the entrance for the City Water Department. Parking is available in the parking lot behind the Opera House adjacent to Harvin Street. For more information please call 436-2500.
