Fantasy Of Lights

Saturday, December 6th marks the beginning of the Fantasy of Lights, part of Sumter's annual Poinsettia Festival!  Come see the beautiful lights as they are turned on at the opening ceremony 5pm to 8pm! More than 100 lighted figures and one million lights illuminating the world famous 150 acre Swan Lake-Iris Gardens! See Santa, holiday entertainment, enjoy refreshments and more! And kids, remember to bring your letters for Santa! The Santa Express will be there to send them straight to the North Pole!

The Sumter Pilot Club started the floating Christmas tree as a fundraiser for various organizations in need more than twenty-seven years ago. The opening ceremony is a tradition, along with the Fantasy of Lights. The Fantasy of Lights is approaching its twentieth year of celebration!

This lighted display is the work of the City Parks and Gardens staff. The employees of the City of Sumter are behind the creativity and magnificent display now known as South Carolinas largest free display. A MUST SEE!
