 “GOING GREEN IS LIVING GREEN” 

Earth Day 2010 

Going Green is Living Green!  What does that really mean? Well… on Saturday April 24 the City of Sumter invites you and your family to Swan Lake Iris Gardens for a day of GREEN!!  Come to the 2010 Earth Day Celebration and have a chance to see Sumter organizations, schools, industries, businesses, local governments and utilities displayed in the gardens for FREE!  From 9:00 am to 2:00 pm music will fill the green gardens with a variety of entertainment, green activities for the children, food and beverages and lots of fun!!! Going Green is Living Green while enjoying the beautiful outdoors on Garden Street and Liberty Street at the Swan Lake Iris Gardens.  For those with a green thumb make sure you have room to take home some plants!  The Sumter Green Truckload Sale will be going strong from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the main entrance as they too celebrate Going Green!  For more information call 803-436-2640 or log on to www.sumtersc.gov
