MAYOR'S PRAYER BREAKFAST

May 1, 2008

Sumter, SC.  On May 1, 2008, the Sumter community will enjoy the opportunity to hear Gigi Graham as the keynote speaker of the Sumter Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast.  Ms. Graham is the eldest daughter of the Rev. Dr. Billy Ruth Graham and late Mrs. Ruth Graham.  She is an accomplished author, speaker, wife, mother of seven adult children and grandmother to eighteen.

Ms. Graham’s experiences as the daughter of the renowned evangelist, added to her extensive travels in Europe and the Middle East, and being the mother of a large family, have given her many resources from which to draw for her speaking and writing ministry.  Ms. Graham has had the privilege of sharing in conferences across the US, Canada and Europe.  She believes in being open and transparent about her faith and life experiences—“the ups and the downs, the valleys as well as the mountaintops.”  Although she comes from a well-known Christian family, she is the first to admit that she does not “have it all together” and like the rest of us, is a work in progress.

Ms. Graham is an award-winning author whose works include Currents of the Heart, For Women Only:  Keeping Your Balance in a Changing World, Passing It On and A Quiet Knowing.  She divides her time between central Florida and the North Carolina mountains.

The annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast will be held beginning at 7:15 a.m. on May 1, 2008 at the gymnasium of USC Sumter, 700 Miller Road.  Tickets are available for only $10 each.  Seating is limited, so please purchase your tickets early.  Please make checks payable to “Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast,” PO Box 1449, Sumter SC 29151.  All ticket orders must be mailed in time to arrive on or before Friday, April 25, 2008.  For more information, please call (803) 775-4437.
